Rapper-turned-actor Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, who is 34, is going to play a running back college senior in Things Fall Apart. Mario Van Peebles will direct.

The movie will be about a football player “who faces a personal tragedy as well as his own mortality while in his senior year in college.” Production on the film begins in May in Michigan.
