Chris Rock Working On French Comedy Remake

Chris Rock has optioned English-language remake rights to France’s “La premiere etoile” (The First Star). Rock will write the remake’s screenplay and produce. The comedy is about a black family who leave their working-class hood to take to the ski slopes. That’s considered a social faux pas in the stuffy resort.

Rock can next be seen in the movies Death at a Funeral (April 16, 2010) and Grown Ups (June 25, 2010 ).
