Judd Apatow’s ‘Funny People’ Highly Anticipated

Although Judd Apatow’s name has been attached to a slew of movies, he has only sat in the director’s chair twice before (40 Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up). Apatow’s third time as a director is for another of his highly anticipated movies, Funny People. The movie stars Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen, Leslie Mann, Eric Bana and Jason Schwartzman. Funny People focuses on the standup comedy circuit and one comedian’s near-death experience. On his latest, Apatow notes: “I’m trying to make a very serious movie that is twice as funny as my other movies. Wish me luck!”

Funny People will be in theaters July 31, 2009.
